September 19

I have commented many times in the last 2 months on Facebook about my escapades when I forget something.

Mainly it is about how many times have I walked out the door and forgotten to put on my shoes, but I have also forgotten to wash my hair, or things like that.

But this morning takes the cake.

I thrive on routine.

I heart it.

So every morning I wake up, pet the cats~~because they insist on it~~get up, make the bed and go to the bathroom.

There I shower, dry off, put on lotion, spray on deodorant, do my hair, go back to the bedroom, pet the cats some more, get dressed come downstairs, turn on Fox and Friends, check my email, and play on FB.

So here I am, playing on FB listening to Fox and friends when I notice that my head is cold.

I reach up to touch it and it is still wet.

I forgot to do my hair.

How does one forget to do that??

Dear brain,

I need you to function better.

  1. Know exactly how you feel, forget phone at home only realized it when at work 1 hour away from home. No going back to get it today, feel totally naked without it.

  2. YUP…stuff like that happens to me all the time. I think the worst is when I forget to put on my makeup. I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I must cover-up my dark circles and put on some mascara. Last week I almost went out with my slippers on!

  3. Lol. I know what you mean. I’ve been telling my head the same thing for years, and it’s not listening to me. I don’t know what I’m going to do when my baby goes off to school and I have to get a job. I do NOT thrive on routine! And I’m forgetful. Not a good combination 🙂

  4. You have such a special way about you, Tanya. You can make me smile just by the way you look at life. Very funny! All I can say is that I think I have adult ADD and I live in a bubble of forgetfulness all the time!

  5. I work for a senior care agency. Sounds like you have memory impairment and might need a caregiver. 😉

Just kidding! Twice, in the last two weeks, I have forgotten to set the alarm. I haven’t done that much in my adult life…..
