  1. 1- anything that I cook on the grill
    2- usually sparklers
    3- sometimes
    4- yes

Sorry that your camera took out on you. You can use mine if you want to this weekend.

  2. 1. no set pattern – I’ll eat just about anything put in front of me!
    2. sparklers – the fireworks are always over too early! Plus, I hate loud booming noises.
    3. Sometimes our neighbors buy a bunch of illegal fireworks and we set them off in the back yard. Yeah, we’re real rebels!
    4. I live far from my extended family, so it’s just me, husband and kids – and even the kids are usually off celebrating. DB and I usually golf, go to a party at someone’s house then come home and do the fireworks & sparklers in the backyard with neighbors. Like I said, we’re real rebels out here!

  3. 1. What is the most favorite thing that you eat on 4th of July?
    Brats

    2. Sparklers or Fireworks?
My neighbors do all that, so I go to bed.

    3. Do you go somewhere to watch fireworks?
    The church lawn.

    4. Do you spend 4th of July with family?
Yes, if I have any left at home.

    1. P.S.
You know, of course, that you have just become one of the most evil things ever produced by the human race, don’t you? You are now officially the dreaded “Mother-in-Law”!

  4. Favorite thing to eat: Hot German Potato Salad and Watermelon, it’s a toss up.
Sparklers…we stick them in the cake and cupcakes!
Yes, we go several places to watch the fireworks, one a town one, two private ones on the days either side of the town ones.
Yes, yes, yes, 4th of July is always family time! Big picnics, big food, big hugs, big celebrations, big time fun!

  5. No 4th of July celebrating here :), but we had Canada Day yesterday and celebrated with strawberry shortcake (only with pound cake).

I love fireworks, but it doesn’t get dark enough until midnight, and that’s just too late to stay up and watch fireworks in town with the kids.

Canada Day is usually a little more low-key than the 4th of July. Sometimes there have been activities in the park for the kids, sometimes we spend it with family, sometimes we just get stuff done around the yard.

And as a sidenote to your Cousin Jerry, it IS possible to be a good mother-in-law! I adore my mother-in-law 🙂 and I’m sure you will be a wonderful mother-in-law too, Chocolatechic 🙂

  6. Oh, this is a very country-specific post! Good thing I can participate in this one. Let’s see….

    1. What is the most favorite thing that you eat on 4th of July?

My mom’s potato salad. It is the ONLY thing she knows how to make, and I love it.

    2. Sparklers or Fireworks?

    Fireworks from afar.

    3. Do you go somewhere to watch fireworks?

Nope, unless friends invite me, and I really have nothing else to do. However, I live in a location where I can see the main firework display for my city from my porch or front door.

    4. Do you spend 4th of July with family?

I just spend it with my mom or by myself. Last year, I spent it with my Korean friends, and it was quite interesting and so fun.

P.S. I hope you can stop by my blog and participate in my giveaway!! It would be an honor :).

  7. First to cousin Jerry. Yes I do think it is possible! I had the best Mother-in-law and Father-in-law in the world. I only wish everyone else did. I especially loved my Father-in-law because he was easy to talk to. They were both such Godly examples. I’m thankful they loved me in spite of me:)

    1. What is the most favorite thing that you eat on 4th of July?

That would be Aunt Cindy’s potatoe salad and hot dogs.

    2. Sparklers or Fireworks? Both

    3. Do you go somewhere to watch fireworks? I love to but I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older I usually want to stay home.

    4. Do you spend 4th of July with family?
Yes! I would spend as much time as I can with family. I love being with family

  8. 1. What is the most favorite thing that you eat on 4th of July? Anything that I don’t have to cook!! Usually barbecue.

    2. Sparklers or Fireworks? I personally don’t do fireworks and hubby hasn’t bought them in years.

    3. Do you go somewhere to watch fireworks? Anyone who has lived in Alaska knows that fireworks for Independence Day just turn out very well due to all the daylight we have – it’s never dark enough. Last summer when we were in Seattle was the first time my kids have really seen fireworks while wearing shorts! To see them well here it has to be winter time!

    4. Do you spend 4th of July with family? Usually it is just hubby, the kids and I. Occasionally with friends as well.

  9. I have to say… I don’t really like the 4th of July. I hate fireworks- too loud, too dangerous. We usually go to a family cookout which is fun but really we could have it any weekend and it would be just as fun.
That was the only thing good about my girls growing up- I don’t have to take them to fireworks anymore (can you tell I’m about to suffer from empty-nest syndrome) 😦
