Dear Spring,
I know that you are on vacation and all, but seriously?
It is time to come home.
Look at what your vacation has done to my Rose of Sharron hedges.
It just isn’t pretty!
Even the boy is beginning to complain.
Signed,
Tired of your BFF winter
.
😀
I’m about over it too. We have more snow this year than we’ve seen since 1996! We have just been dumped on. My kids haven’t had a full week of school in 2 weeks and it’s still coming down today. Sigh……
It looks pretty to me!
SMACK!
Where are you? I’m near DC. With 27 inches of snow on the ground, so far I have another 7 on top of it, and it’s still snowing.
Oh look! There is a bright spot across the street from where the boy is shoveling snow. Just pretend that is a huge orange sun and you’ll make it till spring returns from vacation. Glad I could help.
DOUBLE SMACK!
It’s always sooo beautiful for that first day… Then the snow gets all yucky and gross and you never feel clean going outside. This is why I moved to Texas–everyone gets all excited that it’s “snowing” when flakes fall and melt when they hit the windshield.
what an amazing snow…what an amazing boy!
Why when I was grown’ up, this was the norm….We had snow on for a long time….course’ that was befor the phoney “global warmn'” was invented…We walked to school up hill both ways in knee-deep snow…..no “snow days” eather…We built snow forts….had snow ball fights. and made snow ice cream…and no winen’ about it eather…. ah’the good-ole’ days….wher have they gone???
They went away a long time ago…like in the 50’s when you were a kid.
Actually, I remember walking to school in the snow also. And it was uphill 🙂
When does spring typically start for you? For me, it’s still a long way off. Not until about mid-April will snow be disappearing in earnest.
Generally it begins to warm up….in the 40’s and low 50’s around the end of March….
Some winters it is the end of February.
Cute, CC. Your snow is pretty and looks every so lovely….IN OHIO!
We’re supposed to get pummeled today. Not exactly optimal flower delivery weather-especially leading into Valentine’s Day-but, we have to deal with it.
The snow looks beautiful where you are-and I’m hoping that just mentioning that the Hyacinth and Daffodils are already coming into Boston’s market from The Netherlands will help!
I love it! I think it is just beautiful. We got off early from work yesterday (1/2 hoour) I was wishing t he grandkids were there so I could go out and play. Aunt Sandy nor your father wanted too:(
It was just so beautiful falling gracefully down on the ground.
I think your dad and Aunt Sandy are very tired of it also and of me reciting “the moon on the breast of the new fallen snow gave an object of mid-day to objects below”
It does remind me of the hymn “Whiter Than Snow” I love where in the hymn it says “now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow”
Oops gave a luster of midday to objects below
Lovely to look at,
Delightful to hold,
But when you fall,
It is getting old.
I made that up !!LOL
love it 😀
Love you!
and here we get excited when we get a little snow flurry!
Personally I think the photo a beautiful, thought you were doing the Wordless Wednesday meme.
The boy is doing a good job w/the shoveling I must say. Has your street been plowed yet?
Yeah…finally.
