  1. Amen! I did some work for neighbor who operates a decorating business and I’m donating half of that money to my favorite charity, Trickle Up. They ask if you want to make the donation in someone’s name….I’m going to say yes, I’m donating in the name of Jesus Christ.

  2. Thank you.
I’ve sent the link to my pastor.

Now you’ve got us all thinking. Hubby likes the idea of taking back Christmas. Taking it back to what it really is – Celebrating the love of God in the sending of His one and ONLY son so that we could have the chance to choose to spend eternity with Him.

  3. Powerful Video!

Does this mean I need to return all the gifts I bought?:)

I’ve always loved giving gifts. I try to give three gifts. Aunt Karen gave me the idea. The three gifts would represent Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh given to the Christ Child. If you think about it, the gifts given were not cheap.

God gave the ultimate gift, not just at the birth of Christ, but at his cross. I want to give my all to Christ, not just at Christmas or on Sundays or “religious” holidays, but everyday of the year.

I enjoy giving gifts to those I love. I find that Christmas is a perfect time for giving gifts, gifts I normally wouldn’t give any other time during the year. Somehow I enjoy it too much to stop all of this. I don’t think it would make me any holier if I stopped celebrating Christmas the way I do. My husband and I like to do “Secret Santa” to a family who is having a hard time at Christmas. They have no idea who leaves their “gifts” for them. I LOVE it!

This will be a very hard Christmas for me because of the “Traditions of Christmas” This will be the very first Christmas in my life without my mother. When I look back on Christmas past, I find so many wonderful memories of when I was a child, the way mom displayed our gifts, our get-together’s, standing under the mistletoe with the special guy in my life. Then I have the memories of Christmas with our girls, then as our family grew, with sons-in-law and grandchildren. If we hadn’t celebrated Christmas the way most of us know it to be, I wouldn’t have these wonderful memories of Christmas. We have had lean Christmas’s and some very plentiful Christmas’s, but as long as we keep Christ centered in ALL we do, Christmas will continue to be a special time of love and giving in my life! I will keep the “Tradition of Christmas” as well as Christ in my heart!

Although this will be a hard Christmas it will also be an exciting Christmas for is! Both of our daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren will be together this year! I think this will be the first time since the twins were born! That would be 10 yearsJ Ring those bells and sing Glory Hallelujah!

Didn’t plan on giving a sermon thereJ
