April 29

The decision has been made.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I won’t look back, let up, slow down, or back away.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.

I am finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my missions is clear.

I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, delayed or discouraged from the call of God.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner is clear.

I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed.

Are you?

  1. I am and it’s wonderful to see other women online who love Jesus. I want to live my life for Him and not for this world, but isn’t that so hard to do. Thanks for the inspiration today!

  2. Most Definitely! (Everyone says I look like my Abba Daddy but some days it’s hard to see the resemblance. Thankfully, I look more like Him each day!)

  3. I’m with you sister, cool way to put it, you have a wonderful way with phrases.

I’d love to be able to claim it, but I didn’t write it. I have no clue who wrote it, but it is good, isn’t it?

  4. With so much evil going on in this world, it’s wonderful to find Home Going Christians. I’m one too and I’m trying to take as many with me as possible.

Won’t it be wonderful there? Having no burdens to bear.

  5. Wow! What a wonderful statement of faith! It’s great to be able to share the joy that we find in knowing Jesus.

It was one of your scripture quotes that first really impressed me about your site. Thanks for always sharing and being uplifting! 🙂

  6. PTL. I’ll be right there with ya’ll. Tanya it blesses my heart to see the woman you have become spiritually. I have watched you from an infant and loved you all these years. You can attribute part of your commitment to a Godly mother and dad. Your children will have a good example to follow too. I love you, Aunt Cindy

  7. Hi CC, I just thought you might to know the source of this. It is called “Fellowship of the Unashamed.” It comes from the book “Words Aptly Spoken” by Dr. Bob Moorehead.

Thanks Donna. If anyone knew this, you would.

  8. Thank you! You helped me out in a big way this am. I have a son that is struggling thru a major case of “senioritis” and his surgery/recovery time. So when I read your blog this morning I asked him to read it too and remember what life is REALLY all about. So thanks again for the well written words and just the right time!!

  9. I will absolutely join you in this! I love it! Yes, I am born again, and spirit filled. I, however, wish I could be as resolute all the time. Sometimes, it’s easier than other times!
