January 1

Happy New Year, peoples!

This is the beginning of a wonderful year.

How do you plan to celebrate it?

I plan on having the chips beg for a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon, to which I will give in, because I love them too, and falling asleep on the couch.

That is all.

  1. Happy New Year to you also.

We are planning on doing about the same thing except we had the POC marathon yesterday. Today we are watching: National Treasure, The Librarian, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and Miss Congeniality 1 & 2.

We got buckets and buckets of popcorn waiting for us if these kids would just get up.

I think they partied to hard last night, Monopoly will do that to ya! lol.

  2. Happy New Year, CC! May there be enough chocolate for every day.

We’re staying in as well and enjoying the last day of vacation until (dum de dum) school starts up again tomorrow.

We aren’t starting back to school till next Monday.

  3. I have no plans for the day. Might not even get a shower or get dressed – LOL!

Right now, Shan is bothering Joel, who is still in bed. Hubby is still in bed, and I just crawled out – literally – and have decided it’s just going to hurt too much to do anything. But that’s okay – I have no commitments or schedules, or anything for today. It’s a big Do Nothing Day! Sounds good to me.

  4. Happy New Year!!
We snacked off and on, watched the ball, prayed that our other van windows wouldn’t be shot out like last year. Hannah, our oldest, almost made it to midnight but quit 10 minutes after 11p. At 12:01am we had an anniversary kiss because yes, we are crazy and actually were married at 12:01am on New Years Day.
    God bless,

  5. Watching “Twilight Zone” marathon. I have to go back to work tomorrow. It has been a delightful 10 days off!!!!!!!! I am just lazing around in my pink bathrobe, smelling my pork tenderloin roasting.Yummo.

  6. We are planning on watching the Rose Bowl parade. Right now we are watching the making of the parade.

We will have our annual pork & sauerkraut for dinner! I just realized something…I don’t think we had it last year. Maybe that’s why my year was like it was (LOL)

We, too, plan on doing NOTHING! Well, only what has to be done, like cooking and loading the dishwasher.

I stayed up until midnight, called my sister to wish her “Happy New Year” and climbed into bed. *Can’t go a year without talking to her at midnight…we have memories of spending New Years Eve together) Mom went to bed around 8:15 p.m. (seizure free) Then my dear husband went to bed around 9:50 p.m (bless his heart he tried to stay up) No New Years kiss until this morning, but I feel any of his kisses are worth waiting for!

Happy New Year Sweetie and to my SIL, my grand “Chips” and all my other family and friends who read CC blog! Love you all!

  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Today my sister, Yvette turns 39 (yes, she’s a new years baby 1969) so I’ll give her a call. I came along 13 months later in Feb 1970. I was so jealous of her growing up for having her birthday on New Years Day. LOL

Today is the last day of hubby’s vacation, so we’re going to spend the day together just hanging out. We had the house to ourselves last night since all the kids had places to go. So, we ate chicken wings and went for a long walk. Aren’t we so exciting??? LOL

Hey! You did more than I. You are such a party animal!

  8. Hubby is sleeping in, I’m not allowed too…. dangum dogs (at any other time they’re wonderful but when one goes to sleep after 3:00am she deserves to sleep in past 9 am don’t ya think???)

Today….I don’t know that I’m going to get dressed. I had meant to go out and buy a really nice rib roast for hubby to cook for dinner tonight but didn’t do it 😦 So I don’t know what we’ll have…maybe I’ll cook up some ground beef for tacos to use up the beans I made for last night. And we have plenty of tortillas to go with all of that.

Happy New Year to ALL who read CC’s blog, you sure do make her boring and dull life much more interesting 😆

You know I love you, CC 😀

  9. Happy New year! went to bed at 7:30 and probly will again tonight. Getting up at 3am will take the party animal right out of ya!.
We went to Wallymart and bought cheap movies and keep falling asleep.

  10. Happy New Year CC!! We watched watched the ball drop and goofed around until about 1 when we finally went to bed. So we didn’t get up until about 11 this morning. We are not really doing anything particular today. My aunt and I are colaborating on dinner. I hope you are enjoying your movie marathon.

  11. Happy New Year.
We watched a bit of TV. Had a kiss at midnight and went to bed. Today wasn’t much different than any other day. We cooked some chili for dinner and played Candy Land with the kids.
    How was your pirates marathon?

We didn’t do a Pirates marathon, instead….gag….we did a Star Trek marathon. I like the series, but not necessarily the movies.
