Strawberry Cheesecake Triffle

  • 2 pkg. cream cheese~~room temperature
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • ½ pint whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 angel food cake~~torn into bite sized pieces
  • 2 quarts fresh strawberries~~sliced
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar, sour cream and ½ tsp. vanilla.  Set aside.   In a small deep bowl, beat whipping cream, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Fole whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.  Add cake pieces and fold lightly.    Combine strawberries and 3 tbsp. sugar.  Layer in a large glass bowl starting with cake, then strawberries.  Finish with strawberries on top.  Cover and chill.   Serve with additional whipped cream if you like.
